Finance Manager - Operations

As Finance Manager for Operations, you partner with Plant Leadership to translate operational performance into financial outcomes. You manage forecasting, month-end close, and performance reviews within a standard costing framework, working closely with manufacturing and supply chain. You challenge decisions to improve cost, service, and working capital, and drive scalable plant-controlling practices. This role blends technical finance skills with a business-partner mindset, focusing on impact and continuous improvement.

• Act as primary finance partner to Plant Leadership enabling fact-based decisions and accountability
• Lead plant performance cadence: KPI visibility, variance analysis, and corrective actions
• Provide clear financial narratives on outcomes and actions to close gaps
• Challenge assumptions to improve cost, service, and working capital
• Own and explain manufacturing results: absorption, variances, labor efficiency, scrap/rework, yield, overheads
• Drive standard cost processes: rollups, variance reporting, cost transparency improvement
• Partner with operations to quantify productivity, waste reduction, and cost-to-serve initiatives
• Strengthen inventory performance: accuracy, cycle counts, reserves, investigations into adjustments
• Own plant forecast process and model driver-based inputs for budgeting/forecasting
• Provide financial evaluation for operational decisions and capex/business cases
• Lead month-end close activities with accruals, inventory entries, variance analysis
• Ensure compliant governance and strong internal controls with audit support
• Improve data quality and reporting via ERP and analytics (Excel, Power BI/Tableau)

• 5-7 years in plant finance, manufacturing controlling, or cost accounting
• Demonstrated business partnering with operations leaders
• Strong analytical and modelling skills (advanced Excel)
• ERP experience required, SAP preferred
• Comfort with imperfect data and system improvement
• Hands-on approach on shop floor and in details
