Institute and Market Finance Director I

As Institute and Market Finance Director I, you will lead financial operations for Mercy and Medina Hospitals, partnering with executive leadership to drive service line performance and enterprise objectives. You will oversee monthly financial operations, planning, and staff development in a matrix environment. You'll present financial performance and recommendations to senior teams and board-level audiences. • Direct financial operations for assigned areas, including financial reporting, month-end close, and cost accounting
• Lead monthly departmental financial review meetings with analysis and actionable recommendations
• Collaborate with market, institute, and enterprise leadership to set and monitor financial metrics
• Monitor service line performance and new business development, proposing financial improvements
• Steer financial planning, capital planning, and business planning within enterprise/corporate initiatives
• Prepare and present financial performance to leadership groups
• Partner with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and MNS to monitor revenue cycle and reimbursement performance
• Oversee staffing, performance management, and education initiatives in a matrix organization while ensuring compliance
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal control requirements
• Address other duties as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Six years of experience in business management, strategic initiatives, budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, forecasting, budgeting, and financial systems
• Ability to work in a stressful, complex, and matrixed organization
