General Laborer

Chagrin Valley Gig is a community-based provider investing millions to build fiber-optic networks to our Chagrin Valley region residents. We are currently looking for a full-time General Laborer to work in the Chagrin Valley region in Ohio. This position offers an hourly range of $18-$23, based on experience and the benefits shown below. Candidates with a high school (or equivalent) diploma and some experience in construction/utility work will be prioritized during the interview process. General Laborer Responsibilities:(Primarily performs manual labor tasks and assists with horizontal directional drilling (HDD) projects.). Also includes:

• Preparing the work site & cleaning up afterwards

• Loading, transporting, & unloading materials/tools

• Assisting with drilling fluid mixing & clean-up

• Helping with utility locating, potholing, and pipe handling-(fusing/joining pipe sections)

• Operating hand tools and power tools as needed

• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications/Requirements for the General Laborer:

• Previous experience in construction or utility work is preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Skills: Ability to perform physical tasks such as digging, lifting, and loading

• Tool Operation: Knowledge of basic hand and power tools

• Safety Practices: Understanding of safety protocols and procedures

• Physical Demands: Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, standing, and bending

• Safety Knowledge: Strong knowledge of safety rules and regulations

• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers

• Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.

Compensation details: 18-23 Hourly Wage
