Business Development & Senior PM - Transportation

In this role you will lead transportation project pursuits and oversee delivery, while strengthening client relationships and coordinating cross-functional teams. You'll drive opportunity capture, proposals, and program management for surface transportation, transit, rail, and related infrastructure. You'll act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring high-quality, cost-efficient outcomes and contributing to AECOM's mission of delivering a better world.

• Formulate and execute opportunity capture strategies for pursuits and staffing
• Lead business development, prospecting, and proposal development with local clients (ODOT and others)
• Build and maintain relationships with project owners and external/internal clients
• Act as a visible leader and trusted advisor promoting AECOM's values
• Manage and mentor staff to deliver projects and programs and support staff development
• Administer projects from inception to closeout including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and change management
• Provide technical and analytical input, approve work, and perform quality control reviews
• Develop and participate in technical proposals and studies; serve as technical advisor across disciplines
• Prepare and contribute to design procedures, budgets, and schedules for PA/ED and PS&E packages
• Coordinate interdisciplinary reviews of deliverables and ensure compliance with specs
• Contribute to technical specifications and input for engineering budgets and scheduling

• BA/BS + 8 years of related experience or equivalent
• Preferred: Bachelor's in Civil/Transportation Engineering
• Professional Engineer license in Ohio or ability to obtain within 6 months
• 6+ years of progressive experience delivering transportation projects
• 5 years' experience in proposal development, client presentations, and relationship development
• Experience with Design Build delivery and transportation project PM
• Established relationships with local clients (5+ years) and familiarity with ODOT and local agency specs
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities
• Ability to proactively lead department staff and manage multiple workstreams
