Encompass Health seeks an Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation services in an inpatient setting. You will assess functional abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide interventions to improve self-care, mobility, cognitive function, and safety. Collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and therapists, you will support goal setting, patient and family education, and safe discharge planning. Evaluate patients’ functional abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation needs using standardized assessments. Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans and goals. Provide evidence-based interventions to improve ADLs, mobility, cognition, and safety. Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes accurately in the EMR. Educate patients and families on home programs, adaptive techniques, and safety strategies. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on care planning and goal setting. Participate in discharge planning, recommending equipment and follow-up services. Adhere to regulatory, ethical, and documentation standards for occupational therapy practice. Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices within the unit. Mentor or support therapy staff and students as appropriate.
