Position Summary - This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Instructional Design Specialist Internship for the College of Engineering at Oregon State University (OSU). The Graduate Instructional Designer for Engineering Peer Tutor Curriculum is responsible for authoring, designing, and building a sustainable, year-long training curriculum for College of Engineering peer tutors. This role focuses on content and design, not delivery. The Instructional Designer will create quality learning materials, delivery mechanisms, and assessment tools that support STEM tutors' academic, interpersonal, and professional development. All materials must be scalable, adaptable, and usable across a full academic year by future facilitators. Intern will be supported by a subject matter expert who will provide guidance and insight to the content of this project. The candidate should be comfortable working independently and taking initiative on projects in collaboration with the subject matter expert. This position is ideal for a graduate student with strong interest or training in instructional design, curriculum development, pedagogy, learning sciences and strategies, or educator preparation.

Additional Required Qualifications - Current graduate student in the College of Education, current Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (MAIS) student or current Graduate Certificate in College and University Teaching (GCCUT) student. Successful completion of AHE522-525 (current enrollment to complete the course series is acceptable) and AHE531 or coursework/experience in instructional design or curriculum development. Relevant work experience may substitute. Strong writing, communication and organizational skills. Able to plan and adhere to design delivery timeline. Ability to work independently. This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 2 years.
Preferred (Special) Qualifications - Experience designing learning experiences for educators or peer leaders. Familiarity with assessment design and evaluation methods. Interest in STEM education or academic support programs.
