Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Facilities Manager to lead mission-critical facility operations for AWS data centers. You will own the reliability, safety, and efficiency of power, cooling, and building systems, managing preventive and corrective maintenance, vendors, and incident response. Using data and metrics, you’ll drive continuous improvement, capacity planning, and cost optimization while partnering with engineering and operations teams on projects and expansions. You will mentor technicians, uphold rigorous safety and compliance standards, and help scale infrastructure that powers millions of AWS customers worldwide. Oversee day-to-day operations of AWS data center facilities to ensure uptime, safety, and compliance Manage critical infrastructure systems including power, cooling, and environmental controls Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with internal teams and external vendors Monitor facility performance using data and metrics, driving continuous improvement and cost optimization Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning for facility issues Ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory standards across the data center Plan capacity, support new builds or retrofits, and partner with engineering and IT teams on projects Manage facility budgets, contracts, and vendor performance Develop, mentor, and schedule facilities technicians and contractors Document procedures, standards, and reports for audits and operational excellence Data center facilities operations Electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, generators, chillers, HVAC) Building Management Systems (BMS) and DCIM tools Preventive and corrective maintenance planning Incident management and root cause analysis Vendor and contract management Budgeting and cost optimization Regulatory, safety, and compliance standards Project management Technical documentation and reporting Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP) or equivalent Certified Data Centre Facility Operations Professional (CDFOP) a plus Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent mechanical/electrical license preferred OSHA safety training and relevant safety certifications Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent a plus5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
