Provide inpatient medical care as part of a hospital medicine team, including admitting, managing and discharging patients, consulting on medical issues, and co-managing care with other specialties. Participate in quality improvement and may teach medical students, PA students and residents. The role includes mostly day shifts with some swing, night and backup shifts. Admit, manage and discharge hospitalized patients. Provide inpatient medical consultation. Co-manage patients with other specialties. Work as part of an inpatient medicine care team. Participate in quality review and process improvement. May teach medical students, PA students and residents.
