Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. You will provide evidence-based physical therapy to patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery, focusing on functional mobility, strength, and independence. Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluations, individualized treatment planning, gait and balance training, therapeutic exercise, and ongoing patient and family education. Evaluate patients’ functional status, mobility, strength, and range of motion in an inpatient rehabilitation setting Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based physical therapy plans of care Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility interventions Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary rehab team to optimize outcomes Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and continued recovery Document assessments, progress notes, and discharge plans accurately in the EMR Participate in care conferences and contribute to goal setting and progress reviews Ensure safe use of equipment and adherence to infection control and quality standards Orthopedic assessment and treatment Neurologic rehabilitation techniques Gait and balance training Manual therapy Therapeutic exercise prescription Functional mobility and transfer training Use of rehab modalities (e-stim, ultrasound, etc.) Care planning and documentation (EMR) Interdisciplinary team collaboration Patient and family education Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active state Physical Therapist (PT) license Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent accredited PT degree BLS/CPR certification ACLS preferred Experience in inpatient rehabilitation preferred5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
