Associate Attorney - Business Litigation

In this role you will provide civil and commercial litigation services to business clients, serving as outside counsel for construction and land development clients in the Philadelphia area. You will manage varied litigation matters, collaborate with in-house and client teams, and contribute to both litigation and select transactional work. The position offers remote work within the Philadelphia and Delaware Valley region and opportunities for direct client contact and meaningful responsibility. You will shape litigation strategy, support transactional matters, and help clients align legal outcomes with business goals.

• Manage a varied caseload across commercial disputes, business litigation, civil litigation, and construction matters
• Represent clients in state and federal court, arbitrations, mediations, and settlement conferences
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests/responses, and settlement agreements
• Conduct and defend depositions; coordinate litigation strategy with clients and senior attorneys
• Advise on contracts, risk management, dispute avoidance, and corporate operations
• Support transactional matters including contract drafting, review, negotiation, and general corporate counsel
• Develop practical, cost-effective strategies aligned with client business objectives
• Maintain regular client communication and provide timely updates on case developments and risks
• Collaborate with firm attorneys on complex matters while independently managing files and deadlines
• Engage in client development and relationship-building initiatives as appropriate

• 3+ years of civil litigation experience with meaningful commercial or business litigation
• Active bar admission in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware and in good standing
• Experience managing litigation through discovery, motions, settlement negotiations, and trial prep
• Strong legal research, analytical, drafting, and oral advocacy skills
• Sound judgment when advising business owners and executives
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with others
• Availability for court appearances, depositions, client meetings, and in-person obligations in the Philadelphia/Delaware Valley region
• Experience representing construction, land development, real estate, or closely held business clients preferred
• Transactional or outside general counsel experience is a plus
