Summary Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., makers of Yellawood brand Pressure Treated Pine, is seeking to fill a position 2nd shift Quality Control. This role will require monitoring and documenting quality control measures. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and a full benefits package.
Essential Duties:- Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Verify in-process production by confirming required specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating the required adjustments to the Treating Operator and Supervisor.
- Sample all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests on Lumber.
- Identify and segregate products for re-work and complete documentation to confirm re-work.
- Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs.
- Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with company policies.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
- Learn the Treating Process and assist operator in daily operations tasks.
Education and/or Experience: - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
