About the Job
The Fleet Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of a fleet of approximately 55 units of primary and secondary equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost‑effective operations. This role drives market‑based profitability through effective leadership of all fleet and maintenance activities within the assigned area, with a strong focus on cost control, asset utilization, safety, and team development.
The Fleet Manager oversees a maintenance operation that runs two shifts and directly leads a staff of 9 Technicians, 1 Operations Specialist, and 1 Shift Supervisor. Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance programs, regulatory and safety compliance, technician training, workforce planning, vendor management, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role ensures high training standards, promotes a strong safety culture, and develops team members to meet both operational demands and business objectives.
This position plays a critical role in supporting business operations by minimizing downtime, managing maintenance budgets, maintaining equipment readiness, and aligning fleet strategies with local market needs.
