Legal Billing Specialist

Express Employment Professionals is representing a law firm in Center City Philadelphia seeking a Legal Billing Specialist to join their team on a full-time, temp-to-hire basis. This is a fully onsite opportunity offering $24–30/hour depending on experience.

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with prior legal billing experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced law firm environment. This individual will support attorneys and staff with billing operations, invoice preparation, time entry review, billing adjustments, and accounts receivable support.

Responsibilities:
• Review attorney time entries for accuracy and completeness
• Prepare, edit, and process client invoices
• Handle billing revisions, write-downs, and adjustments
• Assist with accounts receivable follow-up and payment tracking
• Maintain organized billing records and supporting documentation
• Communicate with attorneys and staff regarding billing matters and deadlines
• Support additional administrative and accounting-related functions as needed

Qualifications:
• 2–3+ years of legal billing or law firm billing experience preferred
• Experience with legal billing software strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
