Our hospital is a newly renovated 32,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility and houses MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and digital radiographs for advanced diagnostic imaging.About the Role:The Anesthesia Technician works to provide specialized, high-quality care to our patients undergoing anesthetic procedures. This role is highly technical and patient-focused, requiring strong anesthesia skills, advanced monitoring capabilities, and collaboration across multiple specialty teams.The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented Veterinary Technician who thrives in a fast-paced specialty environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care during complex procedures.Requirements:Minimum 3 years of Veterinary Technician experience (general practice, ECC, or specialty) LVT certification preferredMinimum of 2 years of anesthesia experience, required. Three years or more, preferredStrong anesthesia, airway management, and patient monitoring skillsAbility to perform IV catheter placement and manage complex or critical casesExcellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilitiesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skillsEffective communication skills with doctors, clients, and team membersAbility to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and integrityPositive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to high-quality patient careFluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.Essential Responsibilities:Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, medications, and monitoring tools for treatmentsPerform pre-anesthetic assessments and administer anesthesia following established protocolsMonitor and adjust anesthesia while tracking vital patient parameters during proceduresProvide post-anesthesia recovery care and monitor patients for complicationsPosition and prepare patients for radiation therapy and diagnostic imaging proceduresMaintain accurate anesthesia logs, medical records, and treatment documentationAssist with radiographs, CT, and MRI positioning and image submissionEducate and communicate with clients regarding treatments, medications, and aftercare instructionsPrepare patient histories, estimates, discharge instructions, and treatment summariesCollaborate with veterinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient careAbout You:You are a skilled Veterinary Technician with a strong foundation in anesthesia and patient monitoring who enjoys working in a collaborative specialty setting.
