Encompass Health seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapist to deliver evidence-based rehabilitation services in our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. In this hands-on role, you will evaluate functional abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and lead therapeutic interventions that improve mobility, self-care, and independence. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, provide education to patients and families, and support safe discharge planning. Evaluate patients’ functional status and develop goal-oriented treatment plans Provide individual and group therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, ADLs, and cognitive/perceptual skills Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the EHR accurately and timely Collaborate with physicians, nurses, PTs, SLPs, and case managers on coordinated care plans Educate patients and families on home programs, adaptive equipment, and safety strategies Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to discharge planning Fabricate or recommend splints, adaptive devices, and durable medical equipment as appropriate Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and measure functional outcomes Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safety policies, and best practices Support a patient-centered, compassionate, and culturally sensitive care environment Patient assessment Treatment planning Therapeutic interventions Activities of daily living training (ADLs) Splinting and positioning Electronic health records (EHR) documentation Interdisciplinary care collaboration Discharge planning Home safety and equipment recommendations Patient and family education Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current state license as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program NBCOT certification (or eligibility) BLS/CPR certification Experience in inpatient rehab or acute care preferred5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
