Encompass Health seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapist to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care in our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. In this role, you will assess functional abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions that promote independence, mobility, and safety. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and document progress using EMR systems. Evaluate patients’ functional status, cognitive abilities, and ADL performance using standardized assessments. Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based occupational therapy treatment plans. Provide therapeutic interventions to improve strength, coordination, balance, cognition, and self-care skills. Train patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, equipment use, and home safety. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, PT, SLP, and case management on interdisciplinary care plans. Document evaluations, daily treatments, and progress notes accurately in EMR. Participate in discharge planning, recommending equipment and post-discharge services. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and adherence to regulatory and safety standards. Supervise OT assistants and rehab techs as appropriate. Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education.
