Title I Family Liaison

Under general supervision, will work with the school's Title I approved plan to ensure that all aspects comply with federal mandates. Assists with other school and district programs directly relating to Title I as assigned.

Supports and upholds the mission, vision and strategic goals of Lexington County School District One towards increased outcomes for students. Interacts, communicates and collaborates with all stakeholders effectively. Establishes a safe, supportive, positive and productive working and learning environment. Operates general office and technology equipment needed for daily activities. Maintains confidentiality regarding all employee and student information. Participates in all professional meetings and training sessions as required. Requests and maintains materials needed for daily responsibilities and essential functions; provides for safe storage and proper use of all tools, equipment and materials.

Serves as a vital bridge between families and the school community, ensuring that families are informed, engaged, and supported in their children's education. Fosters strong relationships between home and school, promotes open communication, and helps to create a welcoming and inclusive school environment for all families. Partners with school and community organizations to provide families with resources and services that support students' academic and personal growth. Serves as a liaison between families and the school community to address barriers related to student achievement, attendance, behavior, and overall well-being. Coordinates and facilitates family-focused events and support sessions related to academic success and well-being. In coordination with instructional coaches and/or grade level leads, develops and organizes materials to support the SC College and Career Readiness (SCCCR) standards. Collaborates with school leadership and staff to develop strategies that enhance family engagement, ensuring all families feel welcomed and included in the school community. Partners with teachers, administrators, counselors, and social workers to identify students and families who may benefit from additional support. Works closely with the Title I Family Engagement Specialist and Lead Family Liaison to ensure activities align with the family engagement plan and Title I requirements. Attends monthly professional learning meetings to enhance and build capacity related to family engagement and Tile I. Participates in additional professional learning opportunities as outlined by the Title I Family Engagement Specialist and Lead Family Liaison. Gains a working knowledge of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), the schoolwide plan, and Title I requirements to ensure compliance. Maintains timely and accurate manual and digital files. Has a working knowledge of Google Workspace. Works cooperatively with the principal to ensure Title I activities and expenditures align with the schoolwide plan. Assures that all required Title I documentation is accessible to families, the school community, and all stakeholders. Collects feedback from families and stakeholders to identify areas for growth and improvement. Keeps a Title I approved daily time and attendance log and works with Title I school personnel to ensure accurate time logs and documentation are maintained. Follows the Purchase Request process for all purchases using Title I funds. Collaborates with the school executive secretary to ensure that accurate accounting, budget, and strategy and activity codes are documented. Maintains inventory records for all Title I purchases and ensures safe storage and proper use of all materials and equipment. Works with administration in collecting and submitting all required documents for monitoring purposes. Assists the principal in planning the Title I annual meeting and the fall and spring schoolwide planning team meetings. Conducts an annual evaluation and shares and responds to feedback as applicable. Accepts additional Title I duties, as assigned by the principal and/or district administrators. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
