Ascension Property Services, based in Palo Alto, CA, seeks a Sheet Metal Foreman to lead fabrication and installation of precision sheet metal components for our technology facilities. In this role, you will supervise a small crew, plan daily work, interpret technical drawings, and ensure high-quality, code-compliant installations for data centers and critical IT infrastructure. The Foreman coordinates with project managers and IT teams, enforces safety standards, manages materials and vendors, and documents work progress. You’ll mentor technicians, support continuous improvement, and contribute to efficient, reliable technology environments. Lead and supervise sheet metal technicians on installation and fabrication projects Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for metal systems supporting IT facilities Plan daily work, allocate labor and materials, and track project progress Ensure installations meet quality, safety, and building code requirements Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and IT teams on schedules and scope Inspect completed work, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions Maintain inventory of sheet metal materials, tools, and equipment Enforce safety policies, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain clean work areas Train and mentor junior crew members to improve technical skills Document work performed and provide regular status updates to management Sheet metal fabrication and installation Blueprint and technical drawing reading Construction safety practices (OSHA standards) Crew supervision and scheduling Measurement and layout tools HVAC ductwork systems Use of hand and power tools for metalwork Quality control and inspection Basic project documentation and reporting Coordination with contractors and facilities teams Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k OSHA 10 or 30 certification Sheet Metal apprenticeship completion or journeyman status EPA or HVAC-related certification a plus Forklift or aerial lift certification preferred Valid driver’s license with clean record5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
