The Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I supports rehabilitation therapists with patient care and delegated treatment activities in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Duties include helping patients with daily activities and mobility, preparing and transporting patients, setting up equipment, maintaining safety, and reporting patient observations to therapists. Support daily therapy department processes and operations. Assist patients with dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, toileting, and mobility as delegated. Prepare and transport patients according to the schedule. Assist therapists with patient care and therapy activities under their supervision. Communicate observations and report patient performance, condition, and participation to therapists. Promote patient safety and seek therapist assistance when patient needs exceed the technician’s scope.
