Role Overview: A leadership role responsible for managing daily laboratory operations, staff, and budgets while ensuring the quality and integrity of all laboratory testing.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develops and manages the annual department operating and capital budgets.
• Directs daily operations of the laboratory department.
• Leads, hires, disciplines, and manages laboratory staff.
• Oversees laboratory technical development, implementation, and integration within areas of technical expertise, including instrument acquisition, logistical support, and laboratory information systems (LIS) integration.
• Ensures quality of testing across all areas of the laboratory.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related Health Science specialty; must meet CLIA requirements for General Supervisor.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience in an acute care facility.
• Registered with an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT, or equivalent).
• Valid state licensure, as required by applicable state law.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Allied Health, Health Administration, or Business.
• Prior Lab Director experience.
• SCP or NCA registration strongly preferred.
