Job Description Seeking a Structural Revit Designer for a firm that works with clients across the United States to combat the affordable housing crisis by reimagining construction with world-class innovation. They define success by constructability and achieve it through highly coordinated BIM models and a carefully executed quality control plan. As a Structural Revit Designer, you'll focus on developing accurate structural BIM models and construction documents for multifamily, hospitality, retail, and commercial projects. You'll work closely with senior engineers, the Structural EOR, and multidisciplinary project teams to translate engineering direction into coordinated, constructable Revit models, and drawing packages. Your responsibilities will include: • Structural BIM Modeling: Develop, maintain, and refine 3D structural BIM models in Revit for concrete, steel, wood, and masonry structures. • Construction Documents: Produce accurate structural plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules, and drawing sheets in accordance with company standards. • Model Coordination: Coordinate structural models with architectural, MEP, and other discipline models to identify conflicts, support clash resolution, and maintain design integration. • Engineer Markups & Revisions: Incorporate Structural EOR and senior engineer markups, design revisions, and coordination updates into models and drawings efficiently. • Revit Standards & Families: Support BIM execution planning, office Revit standards, templates, and the creation of parametric and non- parametric 3D and 2D families. • Quality Control: Review your own work for accuracy, completeness, coordination, and adherence to company modeling and documentation standards. • Learning & Development: Continue developing structural detailing, Revit, coordination, and documentation skills while contributing to stronger internal standards and workflows. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: • Education: Associate's degree or certificate in BIM, drafting, architectural technology, engineering technology, or a related field; equivalent professional drafting/modeling experience may be considered. • Experience: 2 to 3 years of professional experience as a Structural Revit Designer, Structural BIM Technician, or similar production role in a structural engineering or building design environment. • Revit Proficiency: Strong working proficiency with Autodesk Revit 2022 or newer, including structural modeling, views, sheets, families, templates, and drawing production workflows. • Structural Detailing: Working understanding of structural systems and detailing for wood, steel, concrete, and masonry construction. • Coordination Tools: Working knowledge of Bluebeam and model coordination workflows; AutoCAD experience is a plus. • Code Awareness: Working knowledge of relevant building codes and structural standards sufficient to produce code-coordinated drawings under engineer supervision. Preferred Qualifications: • Building Design: Experience producing structural construction documents for multifamily, commercial, hospitality, retail, or other building projects. • Revit Add-ins & Automation: Experience with Revit add-ins or automation tools such as Dynamo, pyRevit, or similar. • Certification: Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit for Structural Design, or the ability and interest to pursue future certification. • Applied Detailing: Experience translating engineering direction and design intent into practical, coordinated, buildable construction documents.
