City Year seeks AmeriCorps Members to serve full-time in public schools, supporting students’ academic and social-emotional growth. In this education-focused role, you’ll provide tutoring, mentor students, assist in classrooms, and lead small-group interventions. You’ll collaborate with school staff and a diverse team to create a positive learning environment. City Year offers comprehensive training, leadership development, and exposure to education and youth development careers in a mission-driven, inclusive culture dedicated to advancing educational equity. Provide in-class academic and social-emotional support to students in partnership with teachers Deliver small-group and one-on-one tutoring in core subjects Track and report student progress using established tools and data systems Support positive classroom culture and behavior expectations Engage families and school staff to promote student attendance and success Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and professional development Plan and lead after-school or enrichment activities as assigned Collaborate with a diverse AmeriCorps team to meet school-wide goals Student mentorship Tutoring in math and English Classroom support Behavior management Data entry and progress tracking Lesson implementation support Family and community outreach Collaboration with school staff Time management Basic computer literacy (G Suite/MS Office) Must be eligible to serve as an AmeriCorps member (including citizenship/permanent resident requirements) Ability to pass required background checks TB test or immunization requirements as mandated by school district (if applicable)5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386 read more
