Job DescriptionPosition Title: Life Enrichment Coordinator
Hourly: $13.00-$15.00
Schedule: Candidates are expected to be available 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, plus occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as occasional overnight trips. The Community Life Enrichment department is a small team setting, and it is essential to be punctual and available as scheduled.

Who you are:- Patient, kind, organized, creative, energetic & enthusiastic!
- College graduate preferred.
- At least one year of experience working in an elder care community setting.
- The ability to work closely with team members to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- The ability to clearly present information through the spoken word, accurately communicate, providing the necessary level of detail even under stressful or demanding conditions.
- Ensures a positive attitude and team orientation is exhibited in verbal and non-verbal communication.
- Skilled in presenting information to groups and individuals.
- Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office and other information technology applications, including the ability to produce professional memoranda and reports, and conduct data analysis.
- All candidates must be proficient in basic computer programs and must be able to correspond timely through e-mail or other forms of technical communication as needed to successfully complete the requirements for this job.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Demonstrates advanced oral and written communication skills.
- Able to conduct internet research to plan events and activities.
- Capable of functioning independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.
- Demonstrates the ability to define problems and suggest/implement solutions.

- Demonstrates knowledge of elder care and HIPAA regulations.
- Proficiency with office equipment: copier, printer, scanner, fax machine, telephone, digital camera.
- Reach above shoulder heights, below waist or lift as required to complete the job responsibilities.
- Must be able to sit for up to 50% of the workday.
- Must be able to stand and walk throughout the community for up to 50% of the workday.
- Must be able to push or pull 50 pounds unassisted.
- May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases.
- Able to balance, climb, crouch, grasp, kneel, pull, push, reach, stand and stoop adequately to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Able to climb a 12-foot ladder.
- Able to work inside and outside with exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
Summary: The Life Enrichment Coordinator works with the Life Enrichment Team planning, scheduling and coordinating meaningful activities appropriate to the needs and interests of residents and conducive to their physical, mental and social well-being.
Essential Job Duties:- Researching and planning community events and programs, according to resident interests.
- Preparing and publishing an engaging and creative monthly program calendar which incorporates the communities' events and programs by the end of every month.
- Reaching out to and maintaining professional relationships with entertainers, speakers, and others in the community to plan events.
- Recruiting, training, and managing volunteers where applicable.
- Decorating for holidays and events.
- Facilitating and assisting in programs as needed, including some nights, weekends, and holidays resulting in possible overtime.
- Greeting residents and making them feel excited and welcomed into any activities that might be of interest to them.
- Demonstrating good customer service skills at all times to residents, visitors and staff within the building.
- Participating in programs that include costumes, singing, dancing, and speaking in front of people (Skill in these areas is not important; just enthusiasm!).
- Assisting in transporting residents to and from activities in a safe manner and ensuring safety and comfort during activities.
- Compliance with state, federal and OSHA regulations.
- Compliance with all facility policies and procedures.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned.
