In this role you will lead a team of principal engineers to design, develop, and deliver new product capabilities for Verizon's Value Organization. You will align cross-functional stakeholders, vendors, and sales teams to ensure solutions meet business outcomes. You'll oversee multi-year roadmaps, architecture and requirements, and leverage emerging tech to enhance in-store experiences. Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of principal engineers to create requirements and business cases for new product builds and enhancements
  • Own vendor management and integration planning for systems across the value chain
  • Manage a multi-year technology roadmap and product enhancements
  • Develop internal and external communications for enhancements, collaborating with Sales Operations
  • Balance stakeholder needs with short-, medium-, and long-term business objectives
  • Own architectural and user-experience requirements, including Jira stories, requirements vetting, stakeholder reviews, grooming, and testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile to deliver quick and long-term solutions
  • Ensure Value Indirect systems support and exceed KPI targets
  • Leverage AI and emerging technologies for in-store hardware/software solutions
  • Lead development and management of CRM, product catalog, and point of activation platforms
  • Identify opportunities to streamline products to optimize customer and partner experience
  • Maintain positive relationships with external partners and vendors
  • Pull in the right people to form working teams and ensure effective execution
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or four years of comparable work experience
  • Eight or more years of relevant work experience
  • Experience managing complex programs and projects with technical and system requirements
  • Experience supporting consumer customer-facing channels (Indirect, Retail, Digital, Customer Service, Inside Sales)
  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders and senior leaders using data and strategic insight
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, Asana and Slack
  • Experience with Agent, National Retail, and vendor partners; Value segment experience (preferred)
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of business operations
  • Ability to facilitate collaborative resolution with a win-win approach
  • Experience with API integrations
  • Understanding of emerging technologies affecting store operations and customer experience
  • Working knowledge of AI, Systems of Insight, GUI Development/Deployment, Machine Learning, and Robotic Processing
