West Coast Wound & Skin Care is a full-service mobile medical group that delivers quality services and treatments to patients in the comfort of their own home. We are a fast-growing organization, and our mission is to provide high-quality care, treating the whole patient's health, not just the presenting condition. We have high and excellent standards for communication with the agencies we work with, are available and responsive to meet the treatment needs of our patients, and prioritize training and continuing education for our medical team. As part of our expanding service lines, we are building out a mobile pain management program to better serve patients in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and home care settings.

Responsibilities

This is a remote Medical Director position to oversee NP/PAs who are in the field practicing pain management services.

• Oversee providers and review documentation, providing feedback as needed

• Provide clinical guidance on pain management protocols, including medication management, non-pharmacologic interventions, and appropriate referrals for interventional procedures

• Support providers in developing individualized pain care plans for patients in SNF, ALF, and home care settings

• Attend one monthly meeting with providers

• Provide assistance to providers as needed

• Ensure documentation and prescribing practices meet Medicare and state regulatory standards

• No in person requirements, nights or weekends

Qualifications

• Active Medical Degree (DO/MD)

• Board certified or board eligible in Pain Management, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, or a related specialty with a pain management focus

• Active DEA registration in good standing

• Medicare provider and license to practice in California

• Must be located in TX

• Experience overseeing NPs/PAs preferred

• Familiarity with geriatric and post-acute patient populations preferred
