Pediatric Pathologist, Partnership Track Position
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (USA). Client is a well-established, pathologist-owned laboratory consisting of 22 pathologists with a broad range of subspecialties. Based in the culturally rich metropolitan city of San Antonio, we are a regional provider for anatomic and clinical pathology. We seek a full-time AP/CP Board Certified Pathologist who is also board-certified or eligible in Pediatric Pathology. The candidate would be on partnership track, based at a Childrens Hospital, and have the support of another pediatric pathologist and a PA for grossing. Duties would include routine pediatric surgicals and placentas (approximately 5000 specimens annually) with a light mix of frozen sections, CSFs, body fluids, peripheral blood smears, and autopsies (average 10 per year). The hospital sees approximately 300 bone marrows per year, and therefore the ideal candidate would also be comfortable with or board certified/eligible in Hematopathology. Qualifications:
AP/CP board-certified by the American Board of Pathology (required)
Fellowship training in Pediatric pathology, and Board certified or eligible (required)
Interest in or board-certified/eligible in Hematopathology (desired)
Have or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Texas
