Encompass Health in Lubbock, TX seeks a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support patients recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, and complex orthopedic conditions. In this inpatient rehab setting, you’ll deliver hands-on therapy under PT supervision, guide therapeutic exercises and mobility training, and educate patients and families. You’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, document outcomes, and help patients regain independence in a mission-driven, patient-centered, and team-oriented environment that supports professional growth and work–life balance. Provide direct physical therapy interventions under supervision of a licensed PT to support patient mobility, strength, and function Implement and progress individualized treatment plans, ensuring safety and adherence to clinical protocols Monitor, document, and report patient responses, vital information, and functional changes in the EMR Educate patients and families on exercises, safe mobility, and use of assistive devices to promote independence at home Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehab team to coordinate care and achieve patient-centered goals Assist with patient transfers, gait training, and use of equipment such as walkers, wheelchairs, and therapeutic devices Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supplies in a clean, safe, and organized condition Participate in team meetings, in-services, and ongoing clinical education to enhance skills and quality of care Physical therapy interventions Inpatient rehabilitation Therapeutic exercise prescription Gait and transfer training Neurologic rehab techniques Orthopedic rehab techniques EMR documentation Patient and family education Safety and body mechanics Interdisciplinary team collaboration Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant license Graduation from an accredited PTA program BLS/CPR certification Experience in inpatient or neurological/orthopedic rehabilitation preferred5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
