Encompass Health seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation in our inpatient hospital. In this role, you will assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs to restore function, mobility, and independence for a diverse patient population. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and document progress using EMR systems. Evaluate patients’ functional status, strength, balance, and mobility using standardized assessments Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans to improve function and independence Deliver therapeutic exercises, gait training, neuromuscular re-education, and manual therapy interventions Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary rehab team to coordinate patient care Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and functional mobility strategies Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes accurately in the EMR Participate in discharge planning to ensure safe transitions and appropriate equipment needs Monitor patient response to treatment and adjust plans of care accordingly Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and uphold regulatory and ethical standards Provide mentorship and support to therapy staff and students as appropriate Patient functional assessment Treatment planning and plan-of-care development Therapeutic exercise prescription Gait training and balance training Neuromuscular re-education Manual therapy techniques Post-surgical and orthopedic rehabilitation Neurologic rehabilitation (stroke, TBI, SCI) Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Patient and family education Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent accredited PT degree BLS (Basic Life Support) certification ACLS certification (preferred) Clinical experience in inpatient rehabilitation (preferred)5c143e31-5e48-4549-b638-05792d185386
