Asset Based Lending Business Development & Preflight Underwriter - Salt Lake City, Dallas or Houston

In this role you support the Asset Based Lending team by structuring, underwriting, and closing loans secured by working capital assets. You will analyze borrower financials, participate in new business efforts, and ensure accurate documentation and covenant compliance. You'll interact with clients to grow relationships and help mitigate risk in a collaborative, client-focused environment. The position offers hands-on exposure to credit analysis, loan structuring, and preflight evaluation in a growth-focused bank.

• Support lending unit in structuring, due diligence, underwriting, documentation, and closing of complex ABL loans
• Review and analyze field exams
• Pre-screen new business for appropriateness and structure; provide key opinion to solicit business
• Prepare loan packages and underwriting memos for approval
• Ensure loan documentation, borrowing-base calculation, and onboarding of new customers
• Analyze and document borrowers' financial performance; ensure covenant compliance
• Manage troubled loans and workout situations
• Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and advise clients on market trends
• Produce credit analysis and financial projections; monitor contractor deliverables and service levels
• Manage department projects as needed

• 4+ years in asset-based lending, underwriting, loan structuring, credit, or related areas
• Strong knowledge of accounting and finance
• Knowledge of commercial/corporate loan structures and covenants
• Ability to grow client relationships
• Solid problem resolution and communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and financial modeling
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, banking, or related field
