Job Description
QUALITY CONTROL
Tuesday - Friday
6:00 am - 4:00 pm
$18.50 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Use precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, steel rules, pin gauges, surface plates, and height gauges
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to verify product specifications
  • Perform visual inspections in accordance with customer and quality standards
  • Inspect and test in-process and finished products to ensure compliance
  • Document inspection results through accurate reports and logs
  • Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials or products
  • Generate and summarize non-conformance reports for discrepancies
  • Maintain inspection equipment and report any issues requiring repair
  • Inspect incoming materials to confirm they meet required specifications
  • Participate in departmental meetings and continuous improvement efforts
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and measurement tools (required)
  • Knowledge of quality standards, safety practices, and inspection procedures
  • 1 year experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspection and documentation
  • Basic math skills, including working with fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages
  • Ability to interpret data and read basic charts or graphs
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, internet)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree in a related field preferred
