About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance practices and regulatory requirements, with expertise in ISO/IEC 17025:2017, TNI, EPA, DOD, and other relevant quality systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance, implementing effective quality control practices, and fostering a culture of continual improvement.
About you:
- Write, review, and revise corporate management system documents as needed.
- Serve as the liaison and coordinator for External QA requirements and processes, including accreditation requirements and client audits.
- Conduct training sessions and educational events to educate internal and external clients on TNI and DOD requirements.
- Monitor and enforce quality assurance and quality control practices to ensure continual and effective implementation.
- Educate and train staff in the requirements of our Quality Management System.
- Encourage, identify, and participate in continual improvement initiatives.
- Assist internal customers in addressing questions, concerns, and challenges related to quality practices.
- Check that the paperwork/recording of data, result checking and reporting of results is performed.
- Identify all areas of deficiency and implement actions that will ensure they are eliminated.
- Identify remedial actions and issue corrective action requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:- Comprehensive understanding of ISO/IEC 17025:2017, TNI, EPA, DOD, and accreditation/certification programs across various US states.
- Proficiency in applying statistical methods, with expertise in various software tools, including LIMS and databases.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated history of successfully leading proficiency testing (PT) programs and coordinating interlaboratory sample initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry.
- 3- 5 years of quality assurance experience is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office.
Physical Demands:- Ability to sit at a desk and do general office work, which includes periodic sedentary responsibilities.
- Ability to use and view a computer screen for up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to communicate via telephone and e-mail without assistance.
