Technical Business Developer, Global Oil & Gas Business Development

In this role you drive the global GTM strategy for AWS Energy in the midstream and downstream space, aligning cloud, data, and AI with operators' needs. You will engage senior executives, shape solutions with partners, and develop reference architectures for digitization initiatives. You influence decisions by translating operational challenges into AWS-enabled outcomes, focusing on process optimization, asset integrity, and emissions management. This is a hands-on, impact-oriented role at a scale where strategic thinking meets practical delivery.

• Develop and own a global GTM strategy for the midstream and downstream energy segment across regions
• Engage VP and C-level leaders, building trusted advisory relationships and mapping operational challenges to AWS solutions
• Create technical content such as whitepapers, reference architectures, and solution briefs for use cases including digital twins and carbon management
• Collaborate with partners, customer account teams, and system integrators to co-develop solutions for refining and pipeline operations
• Coach account teams on mid/downstream positioning and mentor colleagues to grow the energy practice

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
• 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements
• 5+ years of solving problems with technology in the Energy & Utilities industries
• Experience explaining complex technical concepts to business and technical audiences
• Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
• Experience presenting to technical and non-technical executive audiences
• Experience with Core Cloud Technology Services (Compute, Edge, Hybrid, Security, Networking)
• Experience with Advanced Compute technologies (Accelerated Compute, HPC, Visual/Spatial Compute, IoT)
• Experience with Data & AI technologies (AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, Storage)
