Business Development Manager

In this role you drive new business growth for a global precision cutting tools provider across the Central U.S. You will build and maintain customer relationships, translate technical needs into tool-and-process solutions, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure delivery and support. The position is territory-based with significant travel, offering a strong growth path in a globally oriented manufacturing environment. You will shape value propositions for manufacturing customers and contribute to expanding the company's presence in the region.

• Develop and execute sales plans to meet annual targets in the territory
• Identify and pursue new business with manufacturing customers
• Build relationships and tailor solutions for machining challenges
• Present value-added cutting-tool solutions
• Coordinate with engineering and support teams to resolve issues
• Provide guidance on tool use and applications, or arrange technical support
• Share customer feedback to drive improvements
• Manage territory activities independently and prioritize opportunities

• 5+ years in cutting-tool industry preferred
• Experience in technical sales or related customer-facing role
• Strong understanding of machining processes and tool applications
• Technical education or equivalent hands-on experience to a two- or four-year degree
• Proven ability to develop new business and long-term relationships
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Consultative, customer-focused approach
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to travel up to 50% across the territory
• Located in IA, MN, MO, KS, NE, OK, AR, or TX
