ABOUT THE ROLE
Supports the procurement and warehousing function within an operating company by maximizing efficiencies associated with the provision of material to the operation, including providing day-to-day leadership within the warehouse.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Demonstrates leadership and innovation in communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Manage and continuously improving all aspects of warehousing including handling stock reconciliation, incoming goods, issuing goods, receiving returned goods, inventory, quality and inspection stock.
  • Develop new, implement and manage warehousing strategies, policies and procedures as defined by the Inventory Manager to ensure that movement and storage of goods is effective throughout the operating company.
  • Develop and drive improvement and results in operational efficiency and inventory strategies.
  • Ensure warehousing KPI's are defined and measured to support effective operations. Prepare and publish warehousing reports to demonstrate performance. Develop action plans for corrections of poor KPIs.
  • Take responsibility to receive, store, and dispatch goods; track shipments; coordinate import and export activities; and interface with internal and external customers and suppliers as necessary.
  • Ensure warehouse strategies that assure plant reliability are properly defined and enforced.
  • Implement warehouse management policy and best practice procedures.
  • Ensure Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) requirements are met in the warehouse.
  • Identify and implement new ways of creating automation in the warehouse including creating SAP Contracts and MRP orders.
  • Work closely with other functions such as maintenance, production, and finance to effectively support the operation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of stock to the operation.
  • Directly supervise and support one Warehouse Technician, including day-to-day oversight, training, performance management, and development
  • Support other Warehouse Supervisor I and Warehouse Supervisor II across the US in training, outage support and onboarding.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree or 8+ years equivalent experience required
Field of Study Preferred: Purchasing, Logistics, Planning
Required Work Experience: at least 8 years equivalent experience with HS Diploma / GED
Travel Requirements: 0-10%

  • Ability to drive continuous improvement, efficiency of processes; and manage change with the ability to impact own warehouse and other warehouses through idea sharing
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Experience in forecasting, MRPII, ISO 9001, Batch tracking, and EDI or scanning systems
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
