Leads the credit union’s internal audit function, providing independent assessments of operations, controls and risk. Develops audit plans, reports findings and recommendations, monitors corrective actions, coordinates with regulators and external auditors, and manages and develops audit staff. Lead the Internal Audit Department and oversee staff performance and development. Manage operational, branch, departmental, external and special audits, including accurate reporting and follow-up. Develop and maintain an annual audit plan and risk assessment that adapts to changing conditions and priorities. Prepare audit reports with findings and recommendations, and provide periodic activity reports to the Supervisory Committee and management. Coordinate audits and examinations with regulators, external auditors, credit union personnel and third parties. Review recurring reports to identify errors, trends and control weaknesses, and ensure accepted recommendations are implemented.
