Job Description

We are seeking a Sanitation & Janitorial Worker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of sanitation and basic mechanical principles and a proven ability to maintain equipment and facilities in a clean, safe, and compliant condition.

Responsibilities:

• Complete daily cleaning and sanitation tasks across the facility.
• Clean and sanitize production machinery and equipment including conveyor belts, screens, filters, kettles, pipes, walls, totes, sanding/oiling drum, tables, and plant exterior.
• Handle and use cleaning chemicals while following safety precautions and procedures.
• Remove and dispose of waste and recycling in an effective and compliant manner.
• Document cleaning and sanitation activities and maintain accurate records.
• Prioritize sanitation duties to support production schedules and needs.
• Use an ATP bioluminescence device to verify sanitation effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot root causes of sanitation failures and support problem solving.
• Observe and follow all safety procedures and facility rules.
• Follow GMP, SOP, SSOP, Food Safety Plan (HACCP), and Food Quality Plan (FQP).
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Maintain facility and equipment in a clean and sanitary state.
• Participate in required training to perform job responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions, safety rules, and simple documents. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with tens and hundreds. Ability to use standard U.S. units for weight, volume, and distance.
• Reasoning ability to follow simple one or two-step instructions and handle standardized situations.
• Knowledge of basic principles of mechanical functioning and cause and effect.
• No prior experience required. Training provided.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience using ATP bioluminescence devices in a production environment.
• Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, SSOP, and sanitation documentation.
