ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Teacher to provide consistent classroom coverage for children and young adults with behavioral and learning challenges. Deliver structured, engaging instruction aligned with lesson plans and student needs; maintain a safe, supportive classroom; and adapt activities to support academic and social development. Monitor progress, document attendance and classroom observations, and communicate with school teams and families as appropriate. Collaborate with educators and behavioral health professionals to apply evidence-based strategies and respond constructively to student needs. Bring patience, sound judgment, and a compassionate, inclusive approach to this mission-driven, interdisciplinary setting. Provide consistent classroom coverage for the assigned long-term placement. Deliver structured instruction using provided lesson plans and adapt activities to student needs. Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment. Support students’ academic and social development, including those with behavioral or learning challenges. Use appropriate behavior-support and de-escalation strategies. Monitor student progress and document attendance and classroom observations. Communicate and collaborate with educators, behavioral health professionals, and families as appropriate.
