Medical Laboratory Technologist

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join a high-volume Chemistry Department at a leading reference laboratory in Seattle, WA 98134. We are seeking an experienced to support a high-complexity Chemistry Laboratory environment.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic testing on patient specimens, ensure quality and accuracy of laboratory results, and maintain compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory safety standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform specimen handling, processing, analysis, and result reporting according to laboratory SOPs.
• Conduct testing using approved laboratory methodologies and instrumentation.
• Review, verify, and release patient test results accurately and efficiently.
• Perform and document quality control, calibration, maintenance, and corrective actions.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues affecting test performance or reporting accuracy.
• Maintain records of proficiency testing and laboratory documentation.
• Report STAT and critical values according to laboratory procedures.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and departmental safety policies.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, reagent inventory, and documentation standards.
• Participate in inspections, competency training, department meetings, and continuing education.
• Provide support to internal clients and other laboratory personnel as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or Biology.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred or eligibility required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in high-complexity testing.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures and clinical laboratory operations.
• Chemistry laboratory/generalist experience highly preferred.

Additional Information:

• Location: Seattle WA 98134
• Schedule: Night Shift (Tuesday–Saturday, 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM)
• Length: 15 Week Contract
• Pay Rate: $35 - $40/ Hour
