Business Development Specialist - Latin America - Remote

In this role you drive growth in LATAM by building strategic partnerships with defense and government customers. You align capture efforts with international strategy, shape proposals, and translate UAS capabilities into customer value. You will work with cross functional teams to manage campaigns, nurture senior stakeholder relationships, and ensure credible, timely outcomes. A strong cultural fluency and regional focus will help you accelerate mission-aligned opportunities and long-term customer trust.

• Lead business capture opportunities aligned with international engagement strategy to identify market opportunities
• Assess capabilities against customer requirements, budgets, timelines, and competition to differentiate offerings
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, decision-makers, and influencers to foster trust
• Gather customer input to improve solutions and drive repeat business
• Qualify inquiries, drive commitments, and build credibility as a trusted partner
• Manage bid and proposal activities across internal teams to meet deadlines and secure executive alignment
• Proactively shape customer requirements using deep knowledge of products and processes
• Create and update detailed campaign plans with progress tracking for long-range strategy
• Participate in trade shows and events; coordinate follow-up with Marketing to boost brand presence

• 15+ years in aerospace/defense with a bachelor's degree, or 13+ years with a master's degree, or equivalent military experience
• Previous business development or defense sales with successful capture
• Experience with LATAM defense/government customers and closing opportunities
• Ability to analyze market opportunities and align capture strategies with regional priorities
• Strong cross-cultural interpersonal skills and focus on customer relationships
• Proven ability to influence decision-makers and build trust in diverse contexts
• Ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences and present to senior leaders
• Ability to translate UAS capabilities into customer value
• Highly organized with experience coordinating bid/proposal efforts across dispersed teams
• Willingness for international travel (up to 60%)
• Spanish and Portuguese proficiency preferred; English fluent
• Experience with planning/tracking tools (CRM, pipeline management)
• Knowledge of export controls (ITAR/EAR)
• Experience with LATAM partners/offset arrangements
