As a massage therapist at Queen Anne and/or Ballard Employer franchised location,* essential duties include performing professional quality massage within scope of practice and licensing and in alignment with policies and protocols designing specific sessions based on member’s/guest’s individual needs, and upholding the Employer brand's core values of optimism, gratitude, excellence, consistency and empathy.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Providing excellent guest service.
  • Consistently implementing rules, guidelines, policies, and procedures with members and guests.
  • Suggesting client-specific treatment based on observations.
  • Confidently and knowledgeably educating members and guests about services, products and programs and recommending and performing protocols and Elevations with consistency andcompliance with brand standards.
  • Promoting therapeutic benefits of regular massagethrough our Wellness Program.
  • Staying updated on retail products and promotions.
  • Recognizing and supporting team goals and creating and maintaining positive relationships with team members.
  • Performing shift functions and contributing to sanitization of treatment rooms.
  • Become Hot Stone Envy and/or Prenatal certified by Employer Standards.
  • Attending training requested by Manager.


Qualified candidates will:

Education, Skills and Training:

  • Be able to complete a background check with satisfactory resultsas a condition of employment.
  • Adhere to all applicable local and state licensing laws and regulations related to the massage therapy services provided, including following any applicable law pertaining to maintaining current Massage License.
  • Have knowledge of and experience in performing Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage required, as well as knowledge of and experience in performing other modalities.

Communications and Personal Interactions:

  • Have a strong customer service orientation.
  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively (orally and written) and in a courteous and professional manner on a regular basis with members, guests, co-workers and management.

About Us

We, Jenna Bahlenhorst, owner, Desiree and Tessa, Co-Managers, and Jackie, Spa Manager, would love to introduce Queen Anne, Ballard and ourselves.

Employer of Queen Anne and Ballard are new clinics, being open for less than 3 years. Because we are so new, you get to be a part of building and maintaining a positive culture that is employee and client-focused. We embody a positive, uplifting environment that strives to bring out the best in our team. We encourage further education and experience to help build your career. We understand that our schedules are busy, so we accommodate schedule preferences. In each location, we converted a room dedicated to self-care with massage and stretching tools where employees can go to stretch, meditate, and decompress. Also, our break rooms are stocked with snacks and games.

Jenna Bahlenhorst worked as a Front Desk Associate prior to opening these clinics. She maintains a presence in each clinic almost everyday and has an open door policy. She prioritizes the wellbeing of her team. Compared to most Employer’s whose owners are not present in the clinic, you will see her around the clinic, cleaning, helping employees turn over rooms, and being the ray of sunshine she is.

Desiree has worked for Queen Anne since Feb. ‘15. Tessa has worked with us since March ‘15, originally starting in Ballard then moving to Queen Anne when promoted. They love being able to make peoples’, whether employees or clients, day easier and better. Constantly maintaining an open door, you will see them running around the clinic attending to people’s requests. It is their priority to go above and beyond to their best of ability.

Jackie was a former member who loved the Queen Anne location and comes to us from another Spa. She manages the Spa side of both locations working with Estie’s, marketing our facials, and helping building clientele.

Each clinic also has their own amazing Therapist Lead, who is available to therapists when needed.
