The Lac du Flambeau School District is interested in a dynamic, innovative, and highly effective Early Childhood Special Education teacher who can provide a nurturing and enriched instructional program that will lead to a student's success in meeting IEP goals. We are interested in an individual with excellent drive, communication skills, and experience with best-practice academic and behavioral intervention strategies.
The candidate must be certified and/or eligible for Wisconsin certification (1809). The candidate will also possess the ability to develop constructive and healthy relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community. In addition, flexibility, having a good sense of humor, and enjoying working as part of a team is a plus!
The Lac du Flambeau School District is a PK-8 District located in one building that serves approximately 500 students in the beautiful northwoods community of Lac du Flambeau located in Vilas County in Northern Wisconsin. The District includes the Lac du Flambeau Indian Reservation and the Town of Lac du Flambeau. We are committed to maintaining relevant learning experiences for our students in the arts, academics, athletics, and numerous co-curricular activities. There are many wonderful natural resources within the District and the surrounding areas which provide for relevant integration into the curriculum. We are a leader in the innovative application of technology in the classroom. To support the technology integration efforts of our staff, the building is equipped with multiple computer labs, several mobile labs, as well as SmartBoards and computers in each classroom. We have just upgraded the wireless infrastructure in the building to provide strong wireless capacity throughout the entire building and handle any future plans for expanding the use of wireless technology.
