Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Optometrist based in Madison, WI. The Optometrist will perform eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose ocular conditions, prescribe corrective lenses or treatments, and provide education regarding eye health to patients. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate patient records, recommending follow-up care, and working collaboratively with other team members to ensure the highest quality of care.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of optometry practices, including vision testing and diagnosing ocular diseases
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to educate patients about their eye health and treatment plans
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage a varied patient schedule
• Ability to work in a collaborative and professional environment
• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry school
• Active state license to practice optometry in Wisconsin
• Experience in retail-based or high-volume clinical settings is a plus
