A respected full-service law firm with a longstanding presence in West Virginia is seeking a Business Transactional Attorney to join its growing Huntington office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated business matters while building strong client relationships in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

About the Role

The attorney in this position will work closely with businesses ranging from startups and privately held companies to established regional and national organizations. The practice includes a broad mix of transactional and corporate matters with direct client interaction and meaningful responsibility from day one.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of business agreements and corporate documents
• Advise clients on entity formation, governance, mergers and acquisitions, and general business operations
• Handle commercial transactions, financing matters, and contract negotiations
• Support commercial real estate and business development transactions
• Serve as outside general counsel to business clients across multiple industries
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups on complex matters

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing with the West Virginia Bar or ability to waive in
• Experience handling corporate and transactional matters
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and client communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently and efficiently
• Business-minded approach with strong attention to detail

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $130,000 – $170,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
