About the Company and Operations Coordinator Opportunity:

  • CFS is partnering with a highly stable client in the trucking industry to hire an Operations Coordinator. This person will work with a small local office team, part of a larger organization. This organization is located in a new office space that offers free parking and a welcoming environment!
  • Reports to the Operations Manager

Job Duties for the Operations Coordinator:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, handling incoming calls and after‑hours support as needed
  • Track and maintain real‑time updates on driver and equipment status
  • Coordinate safety permits and regulatory requirements for drivers, including routing and state‑specific rules
  • Support freight operations by resolving pickup, transit, delivery, and other logistics issues
  • Assist drivers with border crossings, customs, and related documentation
  • Distribute and authorize payments to carriers and vendors in line with company policies
  • Provide operational support for managed accounts and customer‑specific requirements
  • Arrange special escorts as needed
Ideal Profile for the Operations Coordinator:
  • 2+ years' operations experience required
  • Previous experience in trucking, logistics, supply chain, dispatching or adjacent roles/industry preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills, phone etiquette, great attention to detail, and comfortable working under pressure
  • Strong communication and follow up skills, service oriented, team player

Schedule: 100% on site in Annapolis, MD 8am-5pm (flexibility on hours offered if needed) M-F
Salary: $50,000-$60,000
