Accounting Intern
The Accounting (Finance) Intern will support the Finance & Accounting team with day-to-day accounting operations while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, global, project-based manufacturing environment. This role provides exposure to core accounting processes including month-end close, cost accounting, inventory management, and audit support, and is well-suited for a student seeking to apply academic knowledge in a real-world corporate setting.
Support accurate and timely completion of accounting activities under supervision
Assist with maintaining the integrity of financial records and supporting documentation
Contribute to month-end and quarter-end close processes
Provide analytical and administrative support related to cost accounting and inventory
Ensure tasks are completed in compliance with internal controls and company policies
Assist with monthly and quarterly close activities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting support
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and customer/vendor follow-ups
Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations and assist with general ledger maintenance
Support cost accounting and inventory tracking across global projects
Participate in audit preparation, internal control documentation, and compliance activities
Maintain organized financial records and ensure accuracy of data across financial systems
Collaborate with Finance team members on process improvements and cross-functional initiatives

Accuracy and timeliness of assigned accounting tasks
Quality and completeness of reconciliations and supporting documentation
Responsiveness to deadlines during close cycles

Demonstrated ability to learn systems and processes
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups)
Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar) preferred
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Interest in manufacturing operations, cost structures, and inventory accounting preferred
Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Curious, eager to learn, and open to feedback
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Collaborative, team-first mindset
Professionalism and discretion when handling financial information
Working conditions are in a normal office environment. The intern is regularly required to sit, stand, and work at a computer for prolonged periods. The role requires use of hands and fingers to operate standard office equipment. Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds may be required. Travel is not expected for this position.
