Job Description
We are seeking an experiencedlitigation paralegal or legal secretary to support attorneys in all phases of medical malpractice litigation. This role is best suited for a detail-oriented professional who can effectively manage multiple priorities without sacrificing accuracy.

** Core Responsibilities**
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, and insurers to obtain records and information
- Organize and maintain case files (electronic and physical), including document indexing and version control
- Assist in pre-suit case development , including record collection and initial case evaluation support
- Obtain, review, organize, and analyze medical and billing records ; identify key issues and missing materials
- Prepare detailed medical chronologies, timelines, and case summaries for attorney and expert use
- Draft and assist with discovery requests and responses, pleadings, and client/opposing counsel correspondence
- Manage document productions (including use of platforms such as Dropbox), ensuring completeness and proper formatting
- Coordinate with expert witnesses , including assembling and transmitting records, tracking disclosures, and managing draft/final reports
- Assist with trial preparation , including exhibit binders, witness files, and coordination of trial logistics
- Track and maintain litigation calendars, deadlines, and scheduling across multiple active cases
- Prepare deposition summaries , excerpts, and exhibit materials upon request.
- Support e-filing in state and federal courts (e.g., PACER or state systems, as applicable)
** Qualifications**
- 3-5 years prior experience in medical malpractice or personal injury litigation strongly preferred but candidates with significant medical malpractice experience aare strongly encouraged to apply.
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities in an active litigation practice
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and working with medical records in a litigation setting
- Familiarity with expert discovery, reports, and overall litigation workflow
- Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with c ** ase management systems** (e.g., Filevine)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff
- Experience preparing medical chronologies and deposition summaries
- Familiarity with e-filing systems and litigation deadlines
- Ability to identify missing records and follow up with providers.
