This is an opportunity for a hands-on Accounting Manager to step into a high-impact role during a period of growth and transformation. You’ll lead day-to-day accounting operations while helping modernize and scale processes for the future. This is not a maintenance role; it’s a build-and-improve opportunity where your ideas and leadership will directly influence how the function evolves.

Responsibilities:

• Own and lead the full accounting function, including AP, AR, cash management, and the month-end close
• Manage and develop a Staff Accountant, providing hands-on coaching and oversight
• Review and approve daily transactions to ensure accuracy, proper coding, and compliance
• Run weekly payment processes, including checks, ACH, wires, and prepayments
• Oversee cash activity and contribute to cash flow forecasting and insights
• Take full ownership of the month-end and year-end close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Review the general ledger, investigate variances, and ensure clean financials
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications
• Oversee all balance sheet reconciliations and drive timely resolution of issues
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Manage intercompany activity and ensure accurate consolidation
• Strengthen internal controls and support audit readiness
• Build and document scalable processes and SOPs as the business grows
• Identify inefficiencies and lead process improvements across the function
• Partner cross-functionally to support operations and solve problems
• Lead 1099 reporting and coordinate with external CPA firms
• Own sales and use tax compliance, including filings, nexus tracking, and Avalara management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience
• Strong command of the full accounting cycle and month-end close
• Experience with NetSuite
• Background in multi-entity and/or manufacturing environments preferred
• Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and elevate team members
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement
• Advanced Excel skills
