Global Payroll Senior Manager
Location: Owings Mills, MD (3 days in office)
Compensation: Up to $150,000 base + 15% bonus
Reports To: CFO & Chief HR Officer
We are partnering with a high-growth organization seeking a Global Payroll Senior Manager to lead a critical, highly strategic function. This is an opportunity for a forward-thinking payroll leader to step into a role with Director-level visibility and impact, helping shape and scale payroll operations during a period of rapid expansion.

The RoleThis position goes beyond traditional payroll management. We are looking for a leader who can evaluate the current state, introduce best practices, and drive meaningful change across systems, processes, and teams.
You will partner directly with executive leadership and play a key role in aligning payroll with broader Finance and HR strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee end-to-end global payroll operations with a focus on scalability and accuracy
- Lead process transformation initiatives, including automation and standardization
- Act as a strategic partner to Finance and HR leadership on payroll-related initiatives
- Assess, optimize, and enhance payroll systems and workflows (Workday experience strongly preferred)
- Establish and strengthen controls, compliance, and governance frameworks
- Lead and develop payroll staff, while also elevating the overall function
- Support organizational growth, including expansion into new regions or acquisitions
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with HRIS, Finance, and IT teams
- 7+ years of payroll experience, with progressive leadership or ownership of function
- Experience operating at a strategic level, even if your current title is Senior Manager
- Track record of driving change, process improvement, or system enhancements
- Exposure to multi-entity or global payroll environments
- Workday Payroll experience strongly preferred
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and partner cross-functionally
- Hands-on mindset paired with a big-picture, forward-looking approach
- Director-level scope and visibility without needing the title
- Direct exposure to and partnership with the CFO and CHRO
