Job Description
This role focuses on assembling and repairing branded storage containers at various locations, including storage centers and designated drop lots. You will use hand and power tools to complete repair and assembly tasks, support general shop operations, and ensure containers meet quality and safety standards. The position suits someone who enjoys hands-on work, can follow instructions with minimal supervision, and is comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform container assembly and repair tasks using hand and power tools with minimal supervision.
- Carry out repairs on branded containers at storage center locations and assigned drop lots.
- Use hand carts and pallet jacks to move materials safely and efficiently.
- Operate basic computer systems to complete simple tasks such as logging work, updating records, or accessing job instructions.
- Perform pressure washing of containers and related equipment to maintain cleanliness and appearance.
- Support shop upkeep by performing general clean-up duties and maintaining an organized work area.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines while using tools, equipment, and materials.
- Assist with additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support overall operations.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools and hand drills for assembly and repair tasks.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools for general labor and repair work.
- Basic computer skills sufficient to perform simple data entry or task tracking.
- Capability to move materials using hand carts and pallet jacks.
- Strong attention to detail when assembling and repairing containers.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0–2 years of experience in a related field such as assembly, steel fabrication, carpentry, industrial painting, or similar hands-on work.
- Current valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Math skills sufficient to perform required duties, such as basic measurements and simple calculations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following established procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in general labor roles involving assembly, repair, or maintenance.
- Experience in steel fabrication, carpentry, or industrial painting is beneficial.
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Willingness to perform a variety of tasks, including pressure washing and shop clean-up.
- Ability to adapt to different work locations, including storage centers and drop lots.
- A combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the job effectively.

Work Environment

The role involves regular use of hand and power tools, hand carts, and pallet jacks, as well as pressure washing equipment. The work setting is active and physically engaging, with an emphasis on safety, cleanliness, and maintaining an organized shop.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
