Senior Human Resources Business Partner
Why This Role Exists
At Shop LC, we operate at the intersection of live television, digital commerce, and global sourcing—at scale and at speed. As the business continues to grow, the challenge is not momentum, but building the leadership capability, operating discipline, and culture required to sustain that growth.
This role exists to be a true business partner to leaders—someone who helps translate business priorities into people strategies and ensures that talent, performance, and culture move in step with the organization's goals.
This is not a transactional HR role.
It is for someone who wants to be embedded in the business, influencing outcomes through sound people decisions.
What You Will Do
- Partner Closely With Business Leaders
You will work hand-in-hand with functional and people leaders to support decisions related to:
- Team structure and workforce planning
- Talent investments vs. productivity and cost considerations
- Balancing speed, execution, and long-term capability
Your role is not to "support from the sidelines," but to help leaders think through the people implications of business choices
- Strengthen Day-to-Day Leadership Effectiveness
You will support managers and senior leaders across a fast-paced, execution-heavy environment by:
- Coaching leaders on performance management, accountability, and decision-making
- Helping managers move from task execution to ownership and people leadership
- Supporting succession planning and internal talent development
The focus is on building capable, confident leaders, not creating dependency on HR.
- Drive Culture Through Behavior, Not Just Words
Culture at Shop LC is defined by how work gets done every day. You will:
- Reinforce expectations around performance, ownership, and collaboration
- Address behavior gaps early and constructively
- Support leaders in creating inclusive, respectful, and high-performing teams
This role requires comfort in real conversations, not just policy interpretation.
- Manage Performance and Employee Relations With Clarity
You will:
- Partner with leaders on performance improvement, feedback, and corrective actions
- Navigate employee relations matters with fairness, consistency, and sound judgment
- Ensure policies and practices are applied thoughtfully, not mechanically
You will be expected to balance empathy with accountability
- Operate Effectively in an Evolving Environment
You will join a system that is still maturing. That means:
- Building processes while supporting ongoing operations
- Creating clarity where ambiguity exists
- Influencing outcomes without relying solely on authority or hierarchy
Adaptability and judgment are critical.
What Success Looks Like
- Leaders see you as a trusted thought partner, not just an HR contact
- Talent and performance conversations become clearer, faster, and more effective
- Managers feel more confident owning people decisions
- Strong performers stay engaged because they are challenged and supported
- HR is viewed as a practical business enabler, not an administrative function
What We Are Looking For
Experience
- 10 years of progressive HR experience, with strong HRBP or HR Manager exposure
- Experience supporting fast-paced, operations-driven environments (retail, e-commerce, consumer, services)
- Demonstrated ability to partner with managers and senior leaders on people and performance matters
What Will Set You Apart
- You understand business goals and metrics, not just HR processes
- You are comfortable giving honest, respectful feedback to leaders
- You focus on outcomes, not activity
- You can build trust while holding leaders accountable
What You May Find Challenging
- Pace: decisions often move quickly
- Complexity: multiple functions and operating models
- Expectations: you will be expected to add value early, not just learn the environment
What You Will Find Rewarding
- Direct exposure to business leadership and decision-making
- A chance to shape how leaders manage and grow their teams
- Work that has visible impact on performance and culture
- An environment that values ownership, judgment, and practical problem-solving
Final Thought
This role is for someone who believes HR is most effective when it is close to the business, grounded in reality, and focused on impact.
If you are looking to grow as a senior HR partner—balancing strategy with execution, and people care with business discipline—this role offers a meaningful platform to do exactly that.
